Take Ownership and Grant Permission in Windows | TAKEOWN & ICACLS

To set ownership on files and folders to the local admin group and add full access permissions to a specific user use the following commands:

* Run the commands from an elevated command prompt!

# Set ownership to the local admin group
takeown /R /A /F [foldername] /D Y

# Grant full access permission to [domain\username]
icacls [foldername] /grant [domain\username]:F /T /C
